A beginner's course on fermentation. We will explore safe ways to use saltwater brine to support safe fermentation of summer pickles and hot sauce. About the Speaker: Amber is originally from Oklahoma and has served in leadership roles within the Food & Beverage industry over the last 20 years, all over the country, including Missouri, California, Washington D.C., and Tennessee. Amber earned her B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Applied Organizational Leadership from MNU in Olathe, KS where she is currently completing her MBA. Amber serves as an instructor of Food Safety Management and Food Preservation. She joined NMSU Bernalillo County Extension team in June 2023 as a Family and Consumer Science Agent with a focus on food systems. Amber is passionate about empowering others and connecting her community to the world around them through food.
